“For those uninitiated to
the world of fetish and clubbing gear exhibitions Xpo
proved a good place to start with a relaxed and friendly
atmosphere. From a fashion perspective the show included
a good mix of traditional fetish wear with more creative,
unique designs. I particularly liked the Bo Peep and
her sheep rubber gear by 'Pretty Pervy' and the mini

"This being our first visit to XPO we were very impressed with the facilities and the range of life-style products available as well as such a wonderful range of lovely, friendly people - not only the organisers and exhibitors, but the open and smiley visitors too. The Barbican is the ideal central London venue for such a show. While it suffers, architecturally, in the words of estate agents everywhere 'location' location' location'. a great time we had during Rubber Ball weekend! The Xpo
at the Barbican contained some of the most innovative
fashions in the world of latex. Walking around snapping
photos I quickly saw that the retro-inspired looks and
extreme creations in latex were the looks to have. Most
importantly, there was a lot of color and flair, not
just basic black. At the press event we were able to
get up close and personal with the models we later watched
in a well-executed fashion show. Though the press event
was meant to highlight the designers' clothes, the models
and photographers had the opportunity to drink a little
absinthe, socialize, and even take some photos that showcased
the personalities of the individual models. With a venue
as intimate as the Barbican, the Xpo felt more like a
gathering of old friends letting down their hair than
an overly staged convention and press event.” -

having the exhibition on friday and saturday gave

were very pleased with the way this year's XPO at the
Barbican was organised and the response we had from
people visiting our Libidex and Radical Rubber stands.
Although visitor numbers were down somewhat on previous
years, those that came seemed to be serious buyers;
and when we tallied up out takings after the show,
were very pleased with the level of sales we achieved.
The whole show had a great buzz, and we were especially

“Because
my companion desperately wanted to buy a rubber outfit
for the Rubber Ball, we headed for the Xpo at Barbican.
That was really the place to be and so many rubber
and other clothes stalls and we went a bit mad. The
Xpo seemed more colourful and atmospheric. On an
upper level was a restaurant bar area decorated with
pirate flags, and two stages, one with a fashion
show and another with a constant programme of very
